There is a growing demand for applied water technology to solve global problems relating to climate, the environment, water and food and to arrive at a circular economy. In the Dutch innovation landscape, there is a need for a centre that focuses primarily on applied water technology.
The Centre of Expertise Water Technology (CEW) aims to become the national research centre for applied water technology by 2020. It links the knowledge requirements of companies to the relevant knowhow at universities of applied sciences. By 2020 the CEW aims to have a project turnover of 2 million Euros from customers and subsidies, 60 students placed in assignments and surveys, and 60 projects and customers in portfolio.
